Following the night's panic over Runica's illness, the team spoke with CorFor over their intel and the particulars of the necromantic plague which swept Mosulk so many years ago. A number of discoveries came to light that day—that the ruins of Kova were once the U.V.S. Innsmouth and that the dragon Wren is seeking came from it, to which the representatives of the kobolds in the capitol might have leads on; that there was far more to the plague than what they had known, and Runica had gained a modified form of it. With their mission nonetheless complete, they got ready to return to the capitol, where they were joined by Runica's nanny Aramara and wound up meeting with CorFor again when they joined a wagon train heading to the Capitol with some goods from the Argensolde Trading Company aboard.

Brought to Drakhan Tower by a special summons (in different senses of the word for each of them), the sinister mermaid and the plucky tiefling have witnessed the end of the world and been offered a job by the suspiciously knowledgable guildmaster Gamello. Their mission: locate the rogue judicator Thran Kearney, located in the Crossings, and eliminate him, and in return they've been promised power as two of Gamello's trusted subordinates. For now, they're on a wagon out east, with various implements to look over and figure out on the way. As always though, when ambition meets ambition, everyone's looking for a knife behind them...
